Who's Who from Detachment B-44 (Phu Quoc) (Partial Draft)
The following is a listing of all personnel in our database, assigned to Detachment B-44 (Phu Quoc). Narrative Information: A B Detachment (B-44) established a camp at Duong Duong, on Phu Quoc Island o/a 02/06/67. The Detachment was established as a Control team for one A-detachment (A-441), a Mike Force search and clear operation and a CIDG Training Center (A-442), but the camp was closed o/a June 15, 1968. Phu Quoc was part of Kien Giang Province, unknown District. A-441 was co-located and intermingled with the B-44 staff. Medical, Signal, Intelligence and Engineering augmentations are presently listed with the parent element at the SFOB.
